Get ready to join the excitement! To participate, make sure to register and pay for all entries through your Dance Comp Genie account (DCG). Studio owners, don't forget to register all your dancers and entries through your DCG account. Post-competition, you'll receive valuable judges' feedback through your DCG account.

For payment, keep an eye on your email – we'll send an invoice for online payment which can be made through your DCG account via credit card. (Bank transfer is also accepted.)
Studio owners can make changes to their routines until the registration closing date without additional cost. Afterwards, an extra fee of €5 per entry amendment will be charged to your account. Please finalise your registration only when you're certain about the entry details. Ensure all your information is accurate (song titles, dancers' names, ages, and routines etc) by the closing date.
Entries are on a first-come, first-served basis, limited by available performance time. Our competition is highly sought after, with most spots selling out before the closing date.
You can add entries once the competition registration opens. Estimated routines won't count; you must fully enter them into the system. Note: payment confirms your competition entry; registration is open until the closing date. Unpaid entries after the payment deadline won't be accepted.
Refund Policy: Kindly be aware that once registration has closed and payment is completed, refunds cannot be issued. If dancers are unable to attend due to illness, injury, or any other unforeseen circumstances, we regret to inform you that refunds for their place cannot be processed. Additionally, if video or audio recordings are incomplete due to unforeseen technical faults, refunds cannot be provided.

Soloists participate in the age division corresponding to their age on the competition day.
Duets/trios, participate in the age division corresponding to their age on the competition day.
Groups compete in the age division based on the average age of dancers in the group.

SOLO 1 DANCER

GROUPS & PRODUCTION ALL COMPETE TOGETHER.

1. Ballet: A routine featuring ballet technique, classical steps, and movement.
2. Lyrical & Contemporary: A fusion of lyrical or jazz style with modern elements, emphasizing balance, flexibility, and control while narrating a story through movement.
3. Jazz & Musical Theatre: A routine predominantly using jazz technique.
4. Hip Hop: A routine primarily incorporating hip hop technique and moves.
5. Open: A routine that doesn't fit into another category, must include three or more acrobatic moves.
6. Tap: A routine performed with tap shoes incorporating tap technique and moves.

NOVICE: Designed for dancers in their first two years of training or beginners seeking an opportunity to compete. Novice dancers will receive three critiques from judges and are eligible for Bronze, Silver or Gold placings.
COMPETITIVE DANCER: Designed for dancers undergoing intensive training in their chosen style. They enter the competition to receive feedback from three judges, earn points for Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Elite placings, and are considered for overall category placements.
Every entry will receive a medal placing of Bronze, Silver, Gold or Elite, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placings awarded for each dance style in each category.

Solos, Duets, Trios - 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes 15 seconds.
Groups - Minimum 2 minutes, maximum 3 minutes.
Production - Minimum 2 minutes, maximum 3 minutes 30 seconds.
You can buy additional time for groups/production only, charged at €3 per person in the routine.

All participants will be evaluated by a panel of three highly qualified judges, and their decisions are final.
POINTS SYSTEM:
Each performance competes for points based on its age category, level, and style.
- Technique: 60 points
- Performance: 20 points
- Musicality/Precision: 20 points
Every performance receives a score from each judge. The three judges' scores are totalled to determine an award based on the following point ranges:
- Bronze: Up to 239
- Silver: 240-259
- Gold: 260-279
- Elite: 280-300
All performers will be awarded a medal based on their points and level category.
Novice participants will be presented with either a Bronze, Silver, or Gold medal.
Competitive participants will be presented with a Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Elite Medal.
Additionally, we will acknowledge 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in all dance style categories. For example, Ballet Solo will have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rankings, and the same applies to Ballet Duet/Trio & Ballet Group. This will then apply to each additional dance style. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the routine with the highest technique score.
Studios will receive audio and visual judges' feedback via their DCG account, which they can keep for reference.

It is essential that all musical tracks are to be uploaded to your DGC studio account prior to the competition. Failure to comply will regrettably preclude the dancer from participating in their scheduled performance.
The deadline for music submissions must be strictly adhered to; submissions on the day of the competition WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The use of personal devices, such as phones or laptops, for music playback during the competition is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Before uploading your music to your DCG Studio account, please triple-check to ensure it is correct.
As a precautionary measure, we advise bringing backup music on an iPod, iPhone, iPad, or computer to the competition in case of unforeseen emergencies.
In the event of music interruption due to technical issues at the venue, the dancer will be granted the opportunity to perform their routine again. However, it is important to note that forgetting the dance will not warrant a repeat performance.
Please exercise diligence in ensuring the appropriateness of all music selections, refraining from the use of vulgar language or explicit content. Violations in this regard will result in point deductions.
MUSIC UPLOAD DEADLINE: MAY 1ST 2024 6:00PM

1. Teachers cannot perform with students or coach backstage.
2. The competition is exclusive to non-professional dancers.
3. Dangerous props or lifts are not allowed.
4. Inappropriate dancing or language may result in point deductions at the judges' discretion.
5. Costumes must be suitable for the performer's age and family viewing; failure to comply will lead to point deductions.
6. Competitors are the sole responsibility of their dance teacher/school. Those under 16 must be chaperoned by a nominated adult.
7. Respectful behavior towards other competitors, teachers, and Twilight staff is mandatory; failure may result in immediate disqualification.
8. Spectators without wristbands will be asked to leave the event.
9. No unauthorized photography or filming is allowed during the competition, except for registered photographers or videographers. Onsite photographers are available, and their pictures will be accessible after the event. If you prefer not to be photographed, inform your teacher. There is a no-refund policy after the closing date for registration and payments.
10. All times are subject to change over the weekend.
